To Whom it May Concern:

I'm writing this letter to inform of a deep concern I have regarding my knitting mojo. As you know, I am a one (maybe two) project at a time knitter. I knit almost everyday to reduce hormone levels stress. Quite recently, the last three weeks to be exact, I have noticed a decrease in my knitting mojo. Well, a decrease would be an inaccurate description. I lost it totally. I did not even work one kyok in 1 stitch on Cherry Fizz which is very disturbing considering this is a spring scarf and it is almost summer. Then last night, to my surprise, I found myself surrounded by five projects with yarn for a sixth. I don't have to tell you that this is completely unacceptable and quite embarrassing, if I'm to be totally honest. Especially since one of the projects is crochet and I don't know how to crochet. Whatever were you thinking when you put this in my head? Clearly, I'm due for some kind of focus adjustment. I can only hope that this adjustment is of the minor tweaking and not a major overhaul as I have a blog with readers that enjoy knitting content. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Lucky Knitter

P.S. Have a nice weekend! ; D

You have been just churning out the crafts lately. All of these projects are lovely, although the crochet took me a bit by surprise. Like you, I get a bit anxious when I have too many projects going. It must be the nice weather following an endless Winter that had us temporarily insane. Enjoy your weekend!

If it makes you feel any better, I read once that the average knitter has 5 projects on the needles at a time.... Of course, this was in a knitting magazine trying to sell yarn.

I say variety is the spice of life ~ just keep good notes on where you are on all your projects!

Great post, mine has been lost too but often some cast-on-itis helps get you back in the groove. I am sure yarn appreciation is an important part of most knitters 'craft' :D

you are so funny. i have been doing the same thing. i think it is the beautiful weather that makes you lose your mojo, then it just comes rushing back!

oh man, I hate that!! I agree with Philigry...with nice weather outside I don't want to be stuck in the house! If you enjoy the outdoors, maybe try to find a nice place in the shade with some nice music, a lemonade and one of your projects this weekend. A change of scenery always helps me get back in the groove...good luck!!

mary, i'm a little late to the party but you have been sewing and modifying shirts and sewing aprons and baking yummies and making popsicles (my kiddos thank you for that recipe). It's very hard to knit and sew at the same time - the brain just seems to take a week or two to refocus. I enjoy reading about your clothing mods and going to your links.

lovely projects...seems a time where your creativity is finding it's groove.

Ay! I am a million projects at a time person, so can't give you any helpful tips there, but as for the mojo, sometimes you just have to take a bit of a break and wait for it to come back...
