Bonjour, mes amis!

Hello, my friends!

I'm settled into my new digs, and have even had a chance to knit a little. I present to you my new hat.

Pattern: Champs-Élysées Beret
By: Linda Wilgus, Popknits Issue Fall/Winter 2009
Yarn: Classic Elite Yarns Ariosa, 2 Skeins, Sangria
Needle: US 10 circular

I leave you with my favorite multilingual quote :-)

"Beer me dos Long Island ice teas, s'il vous plait."

Andy Bernard, The Office, Season 4, Business Trip

P.S. Still looking for a photographer :)

Okay, that is hilarious. I think you did a great job. Much better than I would have done. And the beret is completely adorable on you. Glad that you're settling into your new digs. It DOES get better!

Aaaah! I love The Office and I seriously love your beret (may have mis-spelled it). Lot of love here =)

Such a cute and practical hat - yay for wearable knits:)

I don't know. I think you are being a little critical here... I love how your photographer caught the intensity of your gaze in that first photo!

Awesome beret! Congrats on settling in; hope it all went smoothly. (Or as smoothly as they can!) I made a beret (the name escapes me but it was one of Ysolda's new ones...) but am still working up the nerve to wear it... It came out great, but I'm thinking maybe I'm not cool enough to wear a beret...

I've been looking for a cute beret pattern. I'm not sure I'm an advanced enough knitter. What skill level is this pattern?

Melynda - The pattern is rated intermediate. There is some cabling, but if you have done some knitting and want to try some new skills this might be fun, because the yarn is bulky, so it knits up fast.
